Sustainable Tea Brand

Juju Tea is a sustainable fresh tea leaf brand. It encourages users to ditch the tea bag and go back to pure tea leaves. Everything from the packaging, branding, products and tea rooms were designed. Juju loose tea leaves are hand picked and organic. They are free from pesticides and plastic. Even the bags the tea comes in are made from recycled paper. Juju offers an exciting new outlook onto the brewing of loose tea leaves. Not only are the flavours of tea exciting but the places created to drink the tea are also fun. Every Juju Tea Room has been designed to create a sociable meeting place for friends to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of busy city life. Plants split the cafés into sections to create quiet secluded areas for each group of friends.
The Problem
7 million disposable coffee cups are discarded every day. Most bio-degradable teabags being sold in Britain today are only 70-80% biodegradable. They contain small amounts of plastic that are released into the water systems. Drinking tea and coffee on the go and in cafes has become a popular trend for the latest generation of millenials. Encouraging a shift to sustainable tea drinking will help reduce plastic consumption and single use waste.
The branding for the loose tea packaging uses a clear colour scheme that is used throughout the marketing and café designs. Each packet is made from fully recyclable paper.
The name Juju means honest in Malaysian which is one of the brand's core values. The tea leaves are all sourced from the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. Good Juju is also a spiritual belief that you are not alone on your path which is something we want to represent in our cafes.
Each tea room will intise busy young city workers to take a break and relax with a cup of tea. The rooms will be filled with greenery and colour. They will sell the loose tea leaves and the reusable cup.
Juju will sell a reusable cup in their tea rooms with a built in tea strainer for the loose tea leaves. The sleeve is made from sustainable bamboo and the rest is recycled materials.
Juju tea will have a fun and up to date Instagram to fit with the target audience.
The cup easily comes apart for easy cleaning.
